Accountability

Still going strong with my small changes. Perhaps it's time to step more things up. Last night I realized my scriptures were not by my bed because I had them elsewhere for some study. I was tempted to skip "just one night" but knew that was not in alignment with who I am working to be and so I pulled my act together and went back downstairs to the armchair I'd had them in and brought them back. I ended up reading about Pahoran, Paanchi, and Pacumeni having a bit of contention over who should be in charge and Kishkumen and his secret oaths as well as Coriantumr marching on Zarahemla bypassing the borders of the land having easy access to slay those in the center of the land of the Nephites. I also did my push-ups this morning. I'm down to 15-second rest intervals and did 20,20,16,4.

Ponderings

I think today there is a lesson in Coriantumr's march on the center of the land to be learned. I think our common enemy, Satan, may find ways to bypass our external defenses at times and strike us to the heart. This can either be a decisive blow in the battle for our own soul, or it can be an opportunity to call on the Savior and draw upon power gifted us by Him to purge our inner vessel, to remove the cause of injury within our most "capitol parts".

Great insight, That reminds me of Alma 26:27, Now when our hearts were depressed and we were about to turn back behold the Lord comforted us.” When someone is in the cold and getting hypothermia the body protects the heart and the extremities freeze up first. Moving on to Alma 27 for a pondering. Those Nephites gave up the land of Jershon for the people of Ammon. That’s amazingly generous. How much land would that have been? How many people had to move of their farms?
