This morning in listening to scripture while unloading the dishwasher I was listening to the account of Ammon protecting the flocks at the waters of Sebus and how when the king heard of it his response was, "Surely, this is more than a man..." As Ammon was no doubt strengthened by God to accomplish what he did he was perceived as a god among the king and his servants. One of the awesome things about Ammon in this story is the hope he gives to the normal person who falls short. At one point Ammon was among considered to be one of the vilest of sinners and fought against Kingdom of God. The amazing conversion of Alma the younger instigated a change in Ammon as well. I find great hope in the idea that one like Ammon, who many would have considered a lost cause was able to have such a change to where he was perceived than more than a mere mortal because of the power of God and the strength of faith he obtained.
Personal journey note: I stayed true to two-minutes of exercise this morning doing batches of 15 squats until the timer went. Let me know how you're doing below!
